About DPIL

The Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free books to all participating children from birth to age five. Partnerships with local communities allow these high-quality books to be gifted directly to children and families.

In these crucial early years, shared reading can spark imagination, nurture creativity, and lay the groundwork for a lifelong love of learning. Many children, especially those from lower-income homes, face limited book access. The Imagination Library supports parents and communities in fostering a child’s love of literacy through enhanced language and literacy opportunities at home, regardless of income.
