Get ready for a groovy day of books, fun, and community! Delicious food trucks, a HUGE free book festival for all ages, local celebrity read aloud, nonprofit booths, children's carnival games, and more! There is something hip for the whole family!
This year, we’re expanding into the Auld Pavilion/Bandshell to accommodate continued growth and create even more space for connection.

How does WORDSTOCK work?
For six weeks leading up to the festival, community members donate gently used or new books at collection sites across Lincoln. Those books are sorted and organized by volunteers to create a one-day community free book festival where readers of all ages can discover their next great read.
How can I help keep WORDSTOCK free?
WORDSTOCK is a free event because we believe books should be accessible to everyone. Donations and business sponsorships help fund essential event costs. If you'd like to invest in a day that brings our community together to support the power of literacy, use the donate button above.
How can I donate books?

Accepting Book Donations!
July 8th through August 18th - Bring your gently used or new books to these participating locations during their business hours.
On the day of the event we invite you to come fill a bag of new-to-you books that will bring you great vibes all year long.
